We are proud to have been researching and piloting a range of deaf accessible projects in the past few years. We currently run a number of our *projects and *classes with BSL communication support and have a deaf ‘BSL Engagement officer’ who is supporting us in developing a strong link with the deaf community.
We offer a range of BSL introduction courses and our staff and volunteers are learning BSL level 1.

Umulkhayr Mohamed (he/she/they) is a Welsh Somali artist, writer, curator, and educator. His art is the place where they are able to join the practicing of a spirituality rooted in animism and ancestral honouring with a politic grounded in solidarity and liberation.
Umulkhayr’s session will focus on his practice inspired by plants, taking their form through dance and writing to honour their cycle.

Salsa Rueda (Rueda de casino)
Originating in Cuba, and the basic steps are similar to Cuban style salsa. However, instead of each couple dancing individually, couples dancing
Rueda form a circle and perform moves together to the calls of one person.
This upbeat fun dance incorporates lots improvised moves mixed in with standard salsa ones, which makes for and exciting dance.
The class is for beginners to intermediate level dancers and will run from 8:30 – 9:30 with plenty of time after for social dancing until close.
Cost is £10 for the evening
